It starts with a root.

In the Amazon grows a palm unlike any other. The paxiúba. Its roots don't hide beneath the ground. They rise into the open air, holding the tree upright while it does something no other tree can do.

It walks.

Slowly, over its life, the paxiúba moves. Reaching toward light, toward water, toward better ground. Rooted and travelling at once. Anchored in one place, yet always in search of something more.

This is where Nema begins. At the heart of our mark is the paxiúba root, because it carries everything we believe travel should be. Deeply rooted in a real place, its culture, its people, its truth. And always moving, always reaching, always becoming something new in those who experience it.

Brazil is our ground. The journey is our nature.

It means the difference between watching a place and being let into it. Between a guide who recites and a host who welcomes. Between a trip you remember and a journey that quietly changes how you see.

It means someone has walked every step before you, so that you can simply feel your way through Brazil, unhurried, held, and entirely yourself.

Some say you sometimes need to leave to realize how much you love what you left behind.

At seventeen, I left Brazil to study in Austria. And every time I said "I am from Brazil," I could feel my pride growing inside me.

I began taking every opportunity to present and defend Brazil with all my heart. Soon enough, friends started to come. Then friends of friends, their families. There was always someone telling me they were going, asking for tips and suggestions, and I would put all my heart into it.

When I came back home, I had never been more certain of anything in my life. Brazil is my place to be.

More and more people came. And the more they came, the more excited I was to help them choose the places, the rhythms, the right moment for the right experience. That is when I discovered what moves me most. Translating a country. My country. Showing the Brazil I know to people seeing it for the first time, and watching it change them.

Nema was born from that. Not from a business plan, but from a passion matured by distance. From the belief that Brazil deserves to be shown with depth, with care, and with elegance. Not defended. Not exaggerated. Revealed.

This is my country, as I know it and love it. I would be honoured to share it with you.
